You and your family should feel completely at ease in our chair. Here is exactly what Dentistry by Design does, every day, to keep our patients and our team safe.
These steps are in addition to the standard precautions we have always followed.
Before the first patient arrives, every team member, including the doctor, completes a temperature and health check. Anyone who feels unwell stays home until they have fully recovered.
Just before your appointment begins, we will ask you a few short health questions so your visit is comfortable and low-risk for everyone in the office.
Touch-free hand sanitizer greets you at the door and is placed throughout the office. We have removed magazines, toys, sign-in sheets, and other hard-to-clean items, and we keep paper passed back and forth to a minimum.
Air filters run throughout the office, and our team wears proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect you and themselves during every procedure.
Doorknobs, counters, card terminals, and other shared surfaces are cleaned and disinfected between every patient. Disinfecting wipes are also available for you anywhere in the office.
We are always happy to walk you through our safety steps. Call (916) 685-4662 or email ionescudds@elkgrovedentistry.com.
If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat, or you have been around someone who was sick in the last 14 days, please give us a call. We will help you find a new time once you have fully recovered or been cleared by your doctor.
Infection control has always been a top priority at Dentistry by Design, and you may have noticed it on past visits. Our procedures follow the recommendations of four leading health and safety organizations.
We watch each agency closely for new rules and guidance, so our infection control stays current and every visit stays both safe and comfortable.

Our Elk Grove, CA office follows infection control guidance from the ADA, CDA, CDC, and OSHA. That includes daily health screening for our team, health questions for patients before each visit, touch-free hand sanitizer, office air filters, PPE, and disinfecting shared surfaces after every patient.
Call us at (916) 685-4662. If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat, or you have been around someone who was sick in the last 14 days, we will reschedule your visit for after you have recovered or been cleared by your doctor.
Items like magazines, toys, sign-in sheets, and remote controls are hard to clean and disinfect, so we have removed them for now. It is one more way we keep shared spaces clean between patients.
Of course! Call (916) 685-4662 or email ionescudds@elkgrovedentistry.com and our team will answer any questions about how we keep you and every patient safe.
